08.11.2019
Under the motto "Tunnel construction competence in the environment of the Ruhr-University Bochum" the SFB 837 invites to this year's guest lecture series "Challenge Tunnel Construction". On 08.11.2019, members of the SFB 837 and internationally renowned scientists as well as representatives from practice will meet to discuss new developments and hurdles.
Tunnel construction is one of the key factors for the sustainable development of industrialised, emerging and developing countries. Tunneling and tunnelling technologies are constantly faced with challenges such as underground transalpine transport links, the trend towards larger diameters, difficult geological conditions or high groundwater pressures.
This year's event will focus in particular on the following topics:
Dr.-Ing. Dieter Handke - IMM Maidl & Maidl, Beratende Ingenieure GmbH & Co. KG
Quo vadis Tunneling? Strategy for risk control in shield tunnelling
Dr.-Ing. Ingo Spohr - ZPP Engineers AG
Fehmarnsund crossing, "Bohrtunnel" variant - a BIM pilot project of DB Netz AG
Dr.-Ing. Janosch Stascheit - mtc, Maidl Tunnelconsultants GmbH & Co. KG
Digitisation and the Internet of Things in tunnel construction
