Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Hafner reappointed as member of the scientific advisory board on forest policy

For the upcoming period (2020 - 2023), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Annette Hafner has again been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board for Forest Policy at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

She has been a member of the Advisory Council since 2016 and was involved in various statements during the past period, which you can read here . The Advisory Council advises and supports the Federal Government in shaping the framework conditions for sustainable forest management.
It is composed of representatives from various scientific disciplines that reflect the various demands society places on forests. The Advisory Council submits proposals for the further development of the forest policy framework and the instruments for the implementation of the Federal Government's Forest Strategy 2020 and its further development until 2050. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hafner contributes to the Advisory Council her expertise on the use of wood (in the construction sector) to achieve climate protection targets.
