In a new joint project entitled "As-built Modeling of Buildings and Infrastructure Structures Using AI to Generate Digital Twins - BIMKIT", partners from research and industry, including the Chair of Computer Science in Civil Engineering headed by Prof. Markus König, want to develop methods that use artificial intelligence (AI) to convert building documents into digital 3D models.

Also involved in the project is the RUB's Transfer and Entrepreneurship Department, supporting the Chair of Computer Science in Civil Engineering by setting up Transfer Labs to illustrate the project results.
