Dr. Svenja Fischer and former research associate Phillip Bühler were honored by the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) with the "Tison Award" for the scientific publication "Timescale-based flood typing to estimate temporal changes in flood frequencies". The award annually recognizes the best publication by young scientists in the peer-reviewed "Hydrological Science Journal".
In addition, Dr. Svenja Fischer successfully completed her habilitation with the title "Consideration of Deterministic Hydrology to Improve Flood Statistics for Extreme Floods" at the Chair of Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Management under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Andreas Schumann.
We congratulate Dr. Fischer as well as all participants.
For those interested: the publication "Timescale-based flood typing to estimate temporal changes in flood frequencies" can be read here for free.
