What made you decide to start studying "Environmental Engineering"?
"I started studying UTRM according to the old examination regulations. The decisive factor for me was that the degree programme combines various aspects that are important to me. On the one hand, you learn about scientific and technical basics, which I was already interested in and comfortable with at school. On the other hand, this degree programme deals directly with issues of climate and environmental protection, which have also been important topics for me for a long time. Therefore, the subject suited me very well. The main reasons for changing to the new examination regulations were the title 'Environmental Engineering' and a few interesting new modules and study contents."
What was your personal highlight during your studies?
"For me, returning to the university after the Corona pandemic was definitely the biggest highlight. Uni in Präsenz stopped for me at the end of the first semester and only slowly started again in the fifth semester, which was unfortunately a really long and exhausting time. Apart from that, it was nice to meet new, nice people and work through the exam phases and studies together. I really like the fact that people in our degree programme support each other a lot and help each other as much as they can."
What's next for you after graduating with a Bachelor's degree?
"I'm going straight on with a Master's in Environmental Engineering at the RUB. I have chosen the specialisation 'Sustainability in the Built Environment'."
We wish you all the best for the future!
