Six researchers from Ruhr-Universität Bochum have been identified as the most frequently cited researchers worldwide - including Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martina Flörke, Head of the Chair of Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Management. This is according to the current list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2023" from 15 November 2023.

Every year, the American company Clarivate Analytics compiles the world's most frequently cited publications in each specialist field. Based on the results, these publications are rated as particularly important for the respective specialist field. Authors who have written many of these most-cited publications are added to the list of highly cited researchers. The analysis is based on the Web of Science database and takes into account all articles published within the last eleven years.
