The second round of the "BreakING" mentoring program came to an end on 1 July 2024. This time, the mentees took the lead and organized a closing event including a homemade buffet and program.

The mentees took the opportunity of the final event, which was attended by mentees, mentors and the BreakING team, to reflect on the program. They asked themselves how BreakING had influenced their self-perception and self-confidence as well as their strategies for dealing with possible gender prejudices and challenges. Did the program help to make useful contacts or strengthen existing relationships? One participant talks about her particular personal success: "Through BreakING, I have learned to be more confident in approaching strangers. That's how I got my Master's thesis and a working student position through a guest lecture at a company." The work of the mentors was also praised: "I think it's great that women who have been successful in their careers for years are also committed to the topic of women empowerment!"

At the end of the event, the participants thanked their supporters, the mentors and the BreakING team.

BreakING will start its next run in September/October 2024.
