On 19 July 2024, Laura Hendriks and Dr. Bastian Peiffer from the Chamber of Civil Engineers NRW met with representatives of the civil engineering student council to discuss the needs of prospective engineers. The event was initiated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Höffer.

As part of their meeting, student representatives from the Civil Engineering course spoke with Ms Hendriks and Mr Pfeiffer from the Chamber of Civil Engineers NRW about the possibilities of support during the first-year introductory week, joint construction site excursions, information opportunities on construction supervision topics and practical professional development opportunities.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rüdiger Höffer, head of the wind engineering and fluid mechanics working group, is himself a member of the Chamber of Civil Engineers NRW and a member of the public relations committee.
