The time has come - for "Türen auf mit der Maus 2024"! On October 3, 2024, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites little fans of the television program "Sendung mit der Maus" to a diverse and entertaining program all about civil and environmental engineering.
In keeping with this year's motto “GemeinsamTun” (“Doing it together”), employees from various chairs of the Faculty will show how diverse the tasks of civil and environmental engineers can be and how different disciplines work together in everyday engineering. Whether making mice out of concrete, floating DIY boats in the tipping channel or simulating storms in the wind tunnel - young guests can take a look behind the lab doors in workshops that are otherwise only open to selected people and experience research up close. They will also have the opportunity to try things out for themselves as part of a hands-on course and ask the experts from the fields of bridge construction, transport and mechanics their questions. We are also expecting a special guest in the form of Ruby the robot dog.
The faculty opens its doors from 11 am to 4 pm. The program is aimed at children aged 6 and over.
