In Memory of Prof. Radenberg

Radenberg LVW Vortragsveranstaltung

On March 14, 2025, the Chair of Traffic Route Construction (LVW) hosted the event “A look back at 20 years of sustainable, innovative bitumen and asphalt research at the LVW” in memory of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Radenberg. Around 100 guests from all over Germany came together.

In 2005, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Radenberg became head of the Chair of Traffic Route Engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum. Sadly, he passed away far too early on October 23, 2024. Around 100 guests from all over Germany gathered at the RUB event center to honor him and look back on the collaboration with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Radenberg, which was characterized by special collegiality, modesty and professionalism. In several presentations, current and former employees offered insights into various research projects that focus on both sustainability and innovation in road construction and show how they have influenced developments in asphalt road construction over the last two decades.
