On 27 April 2023, the nationwide Girls' Day will once again take place at RUB. Girls' Day takes place annually and is primarily intended to help interest schoolgirls in subjects that are considered rather gender-atypical and to encourage them not to be guided by classic role models when choosing a subject.
Three chairs of the Faculty will offer pupils from 8th to 10th grade an insight into their fields of work and research in exciting workshops. Those interested can register now.
- Under the motto "Concrete is colourful", the Chair of Building Materials invites schoolgirls to learn more about concrete as a building material, to produce different concretes themselves and to specifically change certain concrete properties.
- What does a structural engineer actually do? The Chair of Structural Mechanics provides an insight into this varied profession. In addition, the students can design bridges on the computer and test them for various loads.
- Why water is so important for us, how it moves in the environment and which influencing factors are essential for clean water is explained by the Chair of Engineering Hydrology and Water Resources Management in its workshop. In addition, various measuring methods for different parts of the water cycle are presented.
Interested persons can register until April 21, 12:00 p.m. Click here to register.
