Civil engineering is one of the most problematic areas of the construction sector in terms of its impact on the environment. Among other things, this is due to the considerable land and energy consumption and the high emissions caused by civil engineering projects. To counteract this problem, the project Resource Plan for Municipal Civil Engineering (ReKoTi) was launched on February 1, 2021 under the leadership of the Institute for Infrastructure, Water, Resources and Environment (IWARU) at Münster University of Applied Sciences.
